About TakeHome IQ
Built to model your next paycheck and make the assumptions visible.
TakeHome IQ models a paycheck from the earnings, forms, deductions, jurisdictions, payroll-program YTD values, and other facts you enter. The configured federal path, state estimates, selected local and payroll-program coverage, and known limitations are described on the methodology page. Employer payroll can use facts or methods the app does not represent, so an estimate is not payroll verification and a category change does not prove its legal or administrative cause.
We built TakeHome IQ because our own pay isn’t the same week to week — shifts, overtime, sometimes a swap with another mechanic. We’re not CPAs. We document the inputs, configured methods, source links, and limitations so you can review the estimate against your own forms and pay stub. If you spot something wrong, email us. We read every email.
What this is built on
- Configured paycheck methods. Review the implemented federal, state, local, payroll-program, and supplemental paths on the methodology page.
- Coverage with limits. State selection is nationwide, but methods, certificates, local resolution, payroll programs, and official examples are not certified uniformly.
- Visible references. The sources page separates official reference links from the evidence required for certification.
