Who We Are
TakeHome IQ is a paycheck planning app operated by Guani Holdings LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the TakeHome IQ mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”).
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
When you use TakeHome IQ, you enter paycheck-related information such as earnings, filing status, deductions, and pay frequency. This data is stored locally on your device and is used solely to generate paycheck estimates. We do not transmit this data to our servers unless you use the Pay Stub Scan feature described below.
Pay Stub Scanning
If you use the Pay Stub Scan feature, images of your pay stub are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API, a third-party AI service, for text extraction and parsing. Pay stub images are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers or by Anthropic after processing is complete. The extracted data is returned to your device and stored locally. Anthropic’s use of data sent through its API is governed by Anthropic’s Privacy Policy.
Email Address
If you sign up for our waitlist or contact us for support, we collect your email address. We use it only to communicate with you about TakeHome IQ and will never sell it to third parties.
Automatically Collected Information
We may collect anonymous usage analytics such as which features are used and general app performance data. This data does not identify you personally and is used solely to improve the app experience.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Generate paycheck estimates and projections on your device
- Process pay stub images when you use the Scan feature
- Improve app features, performance, and reliability
- Respond to support requests
- Send product updates if you have opted in
Data Storage and Security
Your paycheck data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s built-in data storage frameworks. We do not maintain a database of your financial information on our servers. We use industry-standard security measures to protect any data transmitted to our services, including encryption in transit.
Third-Party Services
TakeHome IQ does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may use the following third-party services:
- Anthropic’s Claude API for pay stub text extraction and parsing (governed by Anthropic’s Privacy Policy)
- Apple StoreKit for subscription management (governed by Apple’s privacy policy)
- Anonymous analytics to improve app performance
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time
- Opt out of any marketing communications
- Request a copy of any data we hold about you
- Delete the app and all locally stored data from your device at any time
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request deletion.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectification, erasure, and data portability.
Children’s Privacy
TakeHome IQ is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
