Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using TakeHome IQ (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). The App is operated by Guani Holdings LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Description of Service
TakeHome IQ is a paycheck planning tool designed for U.S. W-2 workers. The App provides estimates of take-home pay based on information you provide, including earnings, tax filing status, deductions, and withholding selections.
Important Disclaimer
TakeHome IQ provides estimates only. It does not provide tax advice, financial advice, legal advice, or accounting services. The calculations generated by the App are informational in nature and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional tax preparation or consultation with a qualified tax advisor.
While we strive for accuracy based on IRS publications and state withholding guidelines, actual paycheck amounts may differ due to employer-specific policies, payroll system variations, mid-period changes, or other factors outside our control.
You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any estimates against your actual pay stubs and for filing accurate tax returns.
User Responsibilities
When using TakeHome IQ, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information for paycheck calculations
- Use the App for lawful, personal purposes only
- Not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
- Not use the App to provide professional tax or payroll services to others
Subscriptions and Payments
TakeHome IQ offers a free tier with limited features and a premium subscription with additional capabilities. Subscriptions are managed through Apple’s App Store and are subject to Apple’s terms and conditions.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings
- Free trial periods, if offered, automatically convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends
Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of TakeHome IQ, including but not limited to the design, code, text, graphics, and logos, are owned by Guani Holdings LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Guani Holdings LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App. This includes, without limitation, damages for lost profits, tax penalties, under-withholding or over-withholding of taxes, or inaccurate estimates.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Guani Holdings LLC is organized, without regard to conflict of law principles.
